I Love Japan » The T-Shirt
[dropcap]A[/dropcap] few weeks ago tragedy hit Japan. More devastation was caused by the earthquake, aftershocks and tsunamis than the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The world seems to have come together with international aid organisations getting involved to help recover bodies, care for the ill and build shelters. [blockquote align=”right”]This is my small contribution and it is very simple…
“I Love Japan”[/blockquote]
Unfortunately not everyone is able to stop what they are doing, pack up and head off to get their hands dirty in Japan, however the response from individuals has been rather profound. The social networks have been abuzz with support and people raising money. I have seen a lot of designers across the world getting involved to show their support for Japan. I think it is absolutely great that people all over can pull together so quickly – a real positive attribute of a socially connected society.
My contribution is simple – just a T-shirt design that I submitted to Springleap. As you can see in the header image it is a simple design playing on the “I Love” type shirts. The font used represents a bold yet battered Japan. The red dot is bold, perfect and is in place of the heart.
If you could re-tweet this post, share it on Facebook or send the links to your friends, that would be really great.
